Succulence offers a wide variety of classes, workshops, and a planting bar to suit your event needs.  We provide in person and virtual events and can host workshops at our store location or a location of your choice.  We can accommodate groups of all sizes!  Please see below for more information and to find the option that works for your group.

In Person Workshops (Public)

We offer two types of public workshops that you can join every month!  Join us to for either our Terrarium Workshop or our Vertical Gardening DIY workshop!  

Our public workshops are held a few times every month at our store location at 402 Cortland Ave 97110.  The workshops are 2 hours long and you will get to pick out your plants from our greenhouse as well as all the decorative materials you need to make your own plant art.  We also serve light drinks and refreshments.  

In Person Workshops (Private)

We offer seven different workshops for private group bookings as well as a variety of upgrade options.  You may book a private workshop onsite at our store location (approx. 20 people or less) or at your offsite location (any group size) and we will travel to you!  

Our workshops are generally between 60-120 minutes, depending on how many people are in attendance and how many questions we get them asking. We can tailor the workshop to whatever time works best for you. The pricing stays the same, even if you use the full two hours. 

Virtual Workshops

We offer seven different workshops for virtual bookings as well as a variety of upgrade options.  We prep and ship all the plants, planting vessels, materials and decorations to each participant in your group.  Our instructors host your event virtually and we can ship anywhere (international regulations apply).  This is a great way to bring together work teams and long-distance friends!   

Our workshops are generally between 60-120 minutes, depending on how many people are in attendance and how many questions we get them asking. We can tailor the workshop to whatever time works best for you. The pricing stays the same, even if you use the full two hours.  

Planting Bar (Large Group Events)

We can also create our popular Planting Bar at your event!  We offer one of the Bay Area’s largest selection of decorative rocks, mosses, and sand to maximize creative potential.

The Planting Bar is a super fun and affordable way to have a large group make plant art together. We set out a diverse selection of plants, and all of the supplies, so that people can jump in and work at their own pace. Our knowledgeable staff is there to explain what to do and help shepherd the party. You select the type of project (terrarium, vertical garden, traditional planter). All the projects come with a box for travel and care instructions for the plant art.
