Class Schedule

Every environment is made richer through creativity and learning. Our class space is used for stand-up, get your hands dirty classes, as well as workshops that encourage you to sit down and expand your spirit.

Offered monthly, our terrarium class and vertical gardening class are hugely popular. If you are thinking of attending one, or want to give one as a gift sign up fast they fill up!

Unless otherwise indicated, all classes include supplies and materials. The classes are as fun as they are educational.

Vertical Gardening DIY - $65

During the monthly vertical gardening DIY class you will learn about vertical gardening products and then make a do-it-yourself vertical garden.

The goal in our classes is to get you as crazy excited about gardening with succulents as he is and to see the entire world as one big planter waiting to happen. This class is hands-on, so dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty and prepare to enjoy an evening of education, and creativity!

Terrarium Class - $65

During the monthly terrarium class you will learn about terrariums and the ins-and-outs of creating them.



Learn about succulent plants including care for, maintenance, propagation and transplanting. You will plant a 5″ hanging globe terrarium utilizing an array of 2″ plants that you will get to choose from and a huge variety of mosses, pebbles, sands and tumbled glass to decorate with.



This class is hands-on, so dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty and prepare to enjoy an evening of education, and creativity!

Discover Succulents! with Arakawa Pottery - $65

During the Discover Succulents! class our knowledgeable staff will teach you about these luscious plants and the ins-and-outs working with them.

Ever wonder – what are these succulent plants I’ve been hearing so much about? This class is good for beginning gardeners and those looking to learn more about succulents. We will demystify these will-to-live plants, providing you information about care, maintenance, propagation and transplanting. You will make your own succulent planter, choosing from a large assortment of different shapes, colors and styles of pottery by local ceramist team, Thomas and Kathy Arakawa.

This class is hands-on, so dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty and prepare to enjoy an evening of education, and creativity!

Aerium Design Class - $65

Our aerium class will teach you about designing with airplants.

Learn all about these rain forest plants including caring for, maintaining and propagating them. You will design a 5″ hanging globe aerium utilizing an array of tilandsia (airplants) that you will get to choose from and a variety of mosses, pebbles, sands, tumbled glass, sticks and other natural elements. All materials included in the price of the class.

This class is hands-on, so dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty and prepare to enjoy an evening of education, and creativity!

No Maintenance Moss Wall - $65

The No Maintenance Moss Wall class will teach you how to create your own maintenance-free moss wall. You’ll learn all about different mosses that grow in nature and can be dried and used in no maintenance green art.

This class is a hands-on, art class with students having access to many colors and families of moss. We will arrange and design the moss, along with bark, sticks, lichen and other natural elements onto a 9” wall-hanging circle, using glue guns and occasionally other supports. These walls are beautiful and will remain vibrant and colorful for many years without any attention.

Classes require payment for confirmed registration. Please call the store or come in with your credit card info if you do not want to pay online.

Class cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to the date of the class. Cancellations will then be converted to credit that can either be used toward merchandise in the store or to enroll in another workshop. Cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to a class or failure to show up to a class will result in no refund or transfer.
