Class Schedule

Every environment is made richer through creativity and learning. Our class space is used for stand-up, get your hands dirty classes, as well as workshops that encourage you to sit down and expand your spirit.

Offered monthly, our terrarium class and vertical gardening class are hugely popular. If you are thinking of attending one, or want to give one as a gift sign up fast they fill up!

Unless otherwise indicated, all classes include supplies and materials. The classes are as fun as they are educational.

Vertical Gardening DIY - $68

During the monthly vertical gardening DIY class you will learn about vertical gardening products and then make a do-it-yourself vertical garden.

The goal in our classes is to get you as crazy excited about gardening with succulents as he is and to see the entire world as one big planter waiting to happen. This class is hands-on, so dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty and prepare to enjoy an evening of education, and creativity!

Advanced Vertical Gardening - $67-$250

During the Advanced Vertical Gardening Class, you will make a large succulent vertical garden. You will select from a large variety of letters, shapes, and numbers, and will plant your vertical garden with a range of succulents to fit your vision. Our teacher will guide you through design and planting.

There is a $25 sign-up fee, which provides participants with Sphagnum moss and reindeer moss (serving as your planting medium and decoration), as well as instruction, wine, and light snacks. The rest of the cost depends upon your planting choices! Frame prices range from $37-$88 and the plants are $4/each (with a 20% discount applied if you want more than 32 of them). The total charge payable on the night of the workshop, will be between $67 (small frame, 8 plants) and $250 (large frame, tons of plants!).

Requirements: Participants must have taken our Vertical Gardening DIY Workshop.

Terrarium Class - $68

During the monthly terrarium class you will learn about terrariums and the ins-and-outs of creating them.



Learn about succulent plants including care for, maintenance, propagation and transplanting. You will plant a 5″ hanging globe terrarium utilizing an array of 2″ plants that you will get to choose from and a huge variety of mosses, pebbles, sands and tumbled glass to decorate with.



This class is hands-on, so dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty and prepare to enjoy an evening of education, and creativity!

Advanced Terrarium Class - $70-?

During the Advanced Terrarium Class, you will make a succulent terrarium of your choice and style based on a selection from a large variety of different glass vessels that range in shape, and form and an even larger selection of succulent plant options. Our teacher will guide you through design and planting.

The $40 sign-up fee provides participants with sand, pebbles, tumbled glass, soil, charcoal, moss and decorative rock, as well as instructions, wine, and light snacks. Terrarium glass and succulent plants of your choice will be purchased separately the night of the class, as well as any other additions you’d like to make to your terrarium, such as pieces of driftwood and/or crystals.

Requirements: Participants must have taken our Terrarium Workshop.

Discover Succulents! with Arakawa Pottery - $68

During the Discover Succulents! class our knowledgeable staff will teach you about these luscious plants and the ins-and-outs working with them.

Ever wonder – what are these succulent plants I’ve been hearing so much about? This class is good for beginning gardeners and those looking to learn more about succulents. We will demystify these will-to-live plants, providing you information about care, maintenance, propagation and transplanting. You will make your own succulent planter, choosing from a large assortment of different shapes, colors and styles of pottery by local ceramist team, Thomas and Kathy Arakawa.

This class is hands-on, so dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty and prepare to enjoy an evening of education, and creativity!

Classes require payment for confirmed registration. Please call the store or come in with your credit card info if you do not want to pay online.

You may cancel or change your class registration at least 72 hours before the scheduled class, subject to a 10% administrative fee and for store credit only. Registration changes are subject to availability in another scheduled class, and if you cannot attend any of the classes on our current schedule we will send you a gift card that can be used in the store or toward a future class. We cannot accommodate cancellations or registration changes within 72 hours of the scheduled class. Your class registration is completely transferrable to another person at any time, so if you cannot attend a class you are welcome to give it to a friend – just let us know about the change! Please don't ask us to change this policy.
